This is a HUGE Lynyrd Skynyrd Gold Record Award (approximately 20x25 inches!) presented to Lynyrd Skynyrd. This is an incredible piece of music memorabilia and a must have for any Skynyrd fan. Imagine hanging this up in your game room, office, living room, guest room, or even bedroom! The engraved label reads:Presented ToLynyrd SkynyrdThis award commemorates the song"FREE BIRD"as becoming a Rock and Roll AnthemLynyrd Skynyrd is a band formed in Jacksonville, FL in 1964. They become recognized mostly in the South in 1973 with worldwide recognition. In 1977 they suffered a tragic loss of 3 members and 1 road crew member from an airplane crash. In 1987 Lynyrd Skynyrd reformed with Johnny Van Zant (former lead singer Ronnie Van Zant's brother) as front man and the band went on to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.
