Director Stuart Heislers first of two films starring Humphrey Bogart (the second being Chain Lightning-1950), Tokyo Joe focuses on Bogarts title character, Joseph Barrett, as he returns to Japan following World War II to see if there is anything left of his pre-war bar and gambling joint (Tokyo Joe's) after all the bombing. Bogart is the greatest American Screen Legend according to The American Film Institute. Offered is a one-sheet movie poster from the film noirs release in 1949. This original poster measures 27x41 and its vivid colors simply jump off its white background. It is in near-mint to mint condition with no major rips, tears or defects and has been professionally linen backed to preserve its condition and integrity for the future. Vintage movie posters were normally printed in very limited quantities, often making them difficult to find, especially in high-grade condition. The posters were not meant to be saved by movie theaters. In fact, after their initial use to promote the movie, theaters were instructed to return them to studios so they could be destroyed. The perfect item for anyone interested in 20th Century American Entertainment, have this one double matted and framed and it will be the perfect focal point of any room! BRCO*5204 1~~907.240500
